INTRODUCTION
Creating the short list for this short film was quite a challenge. Last year, it was just the film opening and deciding on all the camera work was easier because it was for a shorter duration. But deciding on the camera work for a whole short film was quite a challenge.
After going through a couple of short films with similar genre to mine, I understood that those short films that I aimed to deliver a message make use of subtle camera movements, the pace of the film is also much slower and more focus in given to the emotions than actions. The most important stand was that in every short film that tried to delivered a message always had a character who was either weak, struggling, or was in some trouble. The message was usually delivered through that character and since I had written about a similar situation, I went along with the conventional way of shooting such a film.
But however, in my script there is tension and also action, and for those sequences I had to make use of unstable camera movements. Most parts of the script I intend to focus on the emotions of the characters than their action and that I why I have used Medium shot or Medium close up a lot in my shot list.
The template that I have used was shared by my guide and the columns included
